Dynamic Identities: functionality, instability, transparency, and transformation.
I am exploring the hyperreality and the phenomena of the glitch through video, photography, sound and graphic design. Throughout the semester I developed a narrative about how technology and design destabilize the Self. My research focused on how tech companies have obscured our sense of the Self by constantly manipulating us to be in a loop with no purpose but to stay connected and for them to monetize on our presence. The creation of this hyperreal world is to reflect on the fragility of the Self at the hands of hackers/tech companies/governments. While thinking about ways to become a flexible entity that can expand and distort itself for the purpose of disappearing from the @lg0r1thm.
