Dynamic Identities: functionality, instability, transparency, and transformation.
For my BFA thesis, I developed a narrative about how technology and design destabilize the Self.My research focused on how tech companies have obscured our sense of Self, with explorations on the hyperreality and the phenomena of the glitch. Through branding, tech companies have manipulated us to be in a loop while monetizing on our presence. The creation of this hyperreal world is to reflect on the fragility of the Self at the hands of tech companies/hackers/governments. It is an investigation on how to disappear from the alg0r1thm by becoming a flexible entity that can expand and distort itself in the digital space.
